I don't like the sound of that design, Rob; but I'm glad that the warranty has
worked for you.
If I replace my oil-fired boiler with a gas-fired one it will cost me £6000,
plus the cost of connecting to the mains (probably another £1000). If I go the
air-source heat pump route it will cost more like £10000, but I will receive
rebates from the Government for the next 7 years which would pay for the
installation. In addition the ASHP is likely to last much longer than the gas
boiler, according to the supplier.
