Hmm, pricey, Ian! A ground source heat pump would cost me GBP15,000, using 50m
of shallow trenching. The air source heat pump would be around GBP8,000. Each
installation would attract a renewable heat incentive payment over 7 years.
This payment would be sufficient to make it feasible to replace the system
with a conventional heating system if it didn't work.
