The clarity slider is similar to the technique known as Local Contrast Enhancement (LCE). <http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast-enhancement.shtml> By moving the clarity slider to the left you've fixed most or all of the too high contrast problem. But you've not yet fixed the oversaturation problem. Do that next.
