Wow! That's the closest I'm gonna get.
Here's the shot immediately before it.
On approach to Logan, the landing lights illuminated the engine. For the
unintentional abstract shot, I zoomed in on the
top. The S100 is fast at WA, but gets quite slow at the long end, leading to
longer exposure. Then the plane hit a
pocket, shaking frame, wing, engine and photographer is various ways during the
exposure.
Then the attendant made me turn off the camera. Never had them do that before.
Sitting with the engine just outside my window for five hours, I kept looking
for ways to make interesting photos of it.
And
Also,a pic of it about to eat my neighborhood. Our house is lower center.
