It might well be, Bill.
I flew various marks the Hawker Hunter (F6 and 6A, T7, T8M, FGA9 and FR10) in
weapons training and that had a "blue note". This rather muscular humming
apparently came from the air over the gun muzzles or vents at speeds over
450kts, but only on the single-seaters with guns fitted (F6A and FGA9 for me).
