No, not for me. The problem with the color version is that this
composition provides for too much eye-flow distraction. My eyes are
drifting everywhere trying to find the "subject" of the picture.
Granted, the B&W shot is composed a bit differently, but the
distractions caused by colors in the scene are eliminated.
It's not just a bokeh thing either.
The one aspect of the color picture that I really liked is the
egg-flower volcano with the empty egg shells down front.
As a "single picture telling the whole story", I prefer the color
version. But that might be more of a timing and focal-length issue.
But from from the perspective of eye-flow and compositional
distractions, the picture just seems a little off to me. Cropping off
about half the space between the top of her head to the top of the
image frame helps a lot.
