I remember hearing about a study done by some famous medical school about
thirty years ago in Los Angeles, noting the small incidence of bhronchitis
in the Mexican communities there relative to other parts of LA. It was said
that the spicy food kept things better.

Mexican food can be really healthy!! Lots of fresh vegetables, no meat or
cheese. Baked tortillas instead of fried. Lots and lots of peppers and
garlic and tomatoes and cilantro!
