It could be a factor. But I think that condition it's fairly noticeable:
focus will hunt a lot before giving the (barely visible) blinking dot. I
have all beeps disabled...

It's just great! And the same way I was working with the GF1.

I find the Macro-Elmarit 45 to be _too_ sensitive in this regard --
otherwise, it's MF action is surprisingly good. On the other hand, the
12-35/2.8 is much less sensitive, however it's very accurate with enough
speed -- a very good implementation, IMHO.
Since I use adapted manual lenses too, I have assigned Fn2 for enlarged
view, but otherwise I find the auto-enlarge feature very convenient. Still
have to get used to disabling it via a _prolonged_ press, though...
