Nice shot--I'd hang out at that patch frequently. The "Common" Buckeye is very attractive and hasn't been very common around here this year at all. I like your choice of framing but always ponder what to do when both wings aren't in the plane of focus. Last time I tried a hand held focus stack the mirror slap scared the critter. May need to try silent mode 1 in Live view but that is slower for me to focus and have to bump up the ISO a couple stops to hand hold well. Perhaps the OM-D with EVF and electronic first curtain IBIS would fix that. Wonder how quiet it is? I can see why some flutterby photogs are tempted net the critter, place in portable fridge for 15min , then place it on just the perfect flower to warm up--they stay put for a bit. I bet they look cold in the images though. Thanks for posting.
