Reminds me of the PCMCIA card which was later billed as the PC Card and
later as the Express Card. PCMCIA stood for Personal Computer Memory
Card Industry Association (a consortium of PC makers who developed the
standard). I think the name change to PC Card came about when PCMCIA
began being ridiculed as meaning: People Can't Memorize Computer
Industry Acronyms. :-)
