One of our projects was to help the widows build Lorena stoves with a
stovepipe to get smoke out of their houses. This is a Lorena stove but
it's so dark you can barely see the stovepipe:

Do you see why they wear such bright colors?!

PS: The widows used the stoves for awhile but most went back to their open
fires because when there was no smoke in the house, the bugs came in :-(
