We've had about a half inch of rain for the entire year so far. I
measured a scant 0.10" for Wednesday.
Can't help you much with your lack of rainfall problem. I spent years
developing a dry powder that will imitate the chemistry of natural rainfall,
and it does work. Most of it I'm keeping as a trade secret, but the natural
acidity of rainfall can be closely approximated by adding one antacid (ie -
Alka Seltzer) tablet to each gallon of water. You can remove the chlorine from
the water by filling a 1-gallon jug and then leaving it out in sunlight with
the cap off for 24-48 hours.
