Well, I think there was an unstated riddle in that I had only a vague 
idea of what his image and title were supposed to mean.  Perhaps if you 
were female and had read "The Bridges of Madison County" or were an Iowa 
resident you might understand.  But maybe not.  :-)

It's pretty much like his replies to emails where he doesn't quote the 
mail he's replying to.  It's just up to the reader to figure out what 
the context is.  :-)
