Old numbers. Things change. 1080 HD changes the game. I'm at 1/4 and very happy
with it. When my old, deep, projection
TV died, I went to a larger size in a thin TV to maintain the visual angle I
like.

The scaling engine in my new Samsung Blu-Ray player is significantly better
than that in my slightly older Sammy 61" TV.
My impression from reading reviews is that the BR players generally have the
best scaling.

Who listens to the TV's sound?? Mine is permanently on zero volume. No place in
those super thin TVs for any air volume
for a proper enclosure. I listen on a pair of B&W 805s with home brew
surround/bass channel boxes.
