I think they're hoping to profit enough from owning the shares of Olympus
stock to pay back the 30-50 billion yen investment AND increase overall
profits for them, which are down because Tvs are not selling well. I think
that's a lot of wishful thinking. They'd be better off to put the money
into R&D to improve their Tvs and advertising to stimulate consumer
interest.
