I found the experience so upsetting that I had no intention of giving
them a chance. I could hardly walk let alone drive while wearing them.
When I returned them to the optometrist he said: "I should have asked
you ahead of time but I assume now that you are probably
claustrophobic." I told him that I am. He replied that he didn't know
why but, in his experience, most people who can't adapt to progressive
lenses are claustrophobic. Fortunately, he gave me no argument about
returning them for a refund. It was only at his strong urging that I
tried them in the first place. It hadn't been my idea.
