Perhaps but she was in a great hurry... in the middle of a move from London to Salt Lake City, needed to be in NYC the following day and Los Angeles after that. I had spec'd a Nikon APS-C configuration for her and her husband to replace their Nikon D-40. I'm not sure what happened to the D-40 but it wasn't there. She said they still intended to buy the larger Nikon but she hadn't had a chance to buy it and she bought the Nikon 1 V1 because she desperately needed a camera. I'd not be surprised to learn that it was bought in some airport shop. Sounds strange to me but they're a couple who may have more money than time. Both are constantly traveling somewhere. But I think the move to Salt Lake City will alleviate some of that.
