What's with the awful detail smearing in this image? Looks like a 100%
crop with "high" noise reduction at ISO1600 or something... Pity,
could have been a nice image. Kinda reminds me of an old image of
mine, of a wasp (also B&W):

(this very old, and rather unpleasant to my current photograhic eyes,
