Decent images, I think, maybe, if I could actually see them. However, you have
found a way to keep me from looking
forward to your image posts. Make the actual image smaller and surround it with
a huge swath of white.
A little white border to differentiate the edge, sure. But a huge, bright,
white surround just seems to blow out my
eyes' ability to see tonality in the image, especially with true B&W images or
mostly B&W subjects. Off white mats don't
bother me on prints, although I often prefer something less bright, but on
screen, ick.
I know both that this is not true for all viewers and that I am far from alone.
I take it as indicative that clueless sites like Flicker and Facebook put up
images on all white backgrounds, while
those that cater to photographers, like SmugMug, LUG, and so on use black or
neutral gray backgrounds.
