Some might recall a cryptic reference to SMI ( Sensitivity Metamerism
Index) in a comment of one of Jim's nice images. Just in case it is of
some interest, here is the link to better explanation.

A value of 50 is the difference in color between a daylight illuminant
and an illuminant generated by fluorescent source--a "modest" error.
Cell phone cams said to be in 40 range.
Note DSLR's are crunched into the 75-85 range but still appears
interesting with no claim to be a be-all/end-all measure of color
performance . Sony A900 is waaay up there and considered to have
excellent and
accurate color at base ISO. Stronger colored filter array does lead to
worse higher ISO performance as fewer photons are available.
Canyon 5D classic in a blinded study judged to have excellent skin
tones (a tough test) and 5DII perhaps slightly less so. 5Dc way up
there at 84.
Hmmm.
