I suspect that the whole style is to be looking away from the camera to the task in hand. Not a favoured style now for environmental portraits and a catch light is moot. Check 5 and 18 where the subject is engaged with the camera. I was more bothered by they're letting the women dress up for the shoot - very obvious and unrealistic. They're just too clean and pretty. And I preferred 17 - that grungy look is much favoured by printers now but they don't do it nearly as well.
