Indeed it is. The bride was Carol's aunt Annie. The original print had spent
the prior 60 years rolled up in a cardboard
tube, only brought out on rare occasions. I had seen it on a prior visit and
was ready the next time.
Spread out on Annie's kitchen table with corners held down, I shot it with
Tamron 90 mm macro lens using a tripod up on
the table. Although I tried a couple of options, the image posted is
overlapping shots merged into one.
All those years and many unrollings led to cracks, etc. that all had to be
spotted out. The original is really of quite
remarkable quality. Carol's late mother and father are in there, before she
was born, along with many other relatives.
