Chris,
While I love the idea I am now more hesitant of retiring to the UK after
seeing the care (or rather lack of care) by the NHS of my belated
father, not my (step)dad who passed away over a decade ago.
If there is no one to look out for you then the care you recieve is
appalling (unfortunately all his children lived miles away), I believe
accident treatment is still excellent but care for the elderly is non
existant, hopefully it will swing back to being good again by the time I
need it but on the while I think I would prefer to leave in a quick yet
spectacular way like a fatal ferrari crash ;-).
