Reminds me of a road trip many years ago in the States with our 2 children who
were about 8 and 11. We stayed in a log cabin on a campsite in Des Moines close
to a large lake. wearing a headtorch and nothing else I volunteered to switch
off the lights at the door. As I did so every mosquito for miles around made a
beeline for my head. I have since found I get a bad reaction from mosquito
bites. lumps up to 1 inch in diameter are common and if I get bitten on the
fingers they swell up and I cannot use my hands. I have to be VERY careful when
fishing.
