Falling Water is probably the ultimate one for me. I never cared for
the rounded "organic" look he went so much with later on. The Japanese
influence was good, but I feel that he took it to a point where he too
tightly defined the "act of living" within his buildings.
Mason City, Iowa has a nice concentration of FLW buildings. But I grew
up in a small town in Michigan where there was one custom house built
over a creek and two others which used his designs, but he didn't
personally oversee.
