Gerry, I don't see anything arrogant in what you have started.
Looks excellent to me. I wish I had the ability to do prints of that (cotton-
paper) quality.
It might be different where you live, but based on my experience of trying to
sell from a web-site (no sales or even enquiries in 3 years) and having
talked to several people on this matter, it is essential to actually have your
prints available "in the flesh" somewhere.
I know from his own words that Chris Crawford has success from web-
sales, and he also has cultivated facebook to aid his sales.
Currently, I am getting ready to follow the successful example of a couple of
local photographers, and exhibit at a local "farmers-type" market that runs
on Saturdays.
It is my observation having closely watched galleries owned by artists and
photographers who display ONLY their own work ( none from anyone else)
that sales from them are not necessarily all that good either. Two I know
have closed or are trying to do so.
Potential customers want more variety of style and content in one gallery.
BUT, I gather that Bob Whitmire's experience is different from that, from
what I've read, but I suspect the physical location of his gallery (which I
have
never visited) alongside a prime coastal tourist site - in a country with a
short
coastline in relation to its land area - would make it relatively more
attractive
because of its rarity.
Good luck.
