No, hardly deception and deceit. Usually done at the request of a mom who wishes she could have Johnny's smile from frame 2 on frame 10. On frame 2 he's angelic but everywhere else he's trying to pester his sister. On the other hand mom, dad, and Johnny's brother and sister all look just fine on frame 10. You already shot 30 frames but Johnny is 3 and his patience ended shortly after frame 2. :-) The objective of the shoot was to give the family a pleasing family group portrait. Sometimes PhotoShop is the only economical way.
