Hi all, at
http://www.brianswale.com/zuikoholics/October-2011/Oct-2011.htm
I have added 7 new pics.
Several to accompany the pirated aerial shot of Clyde. My purpose is to
show how a change of view-point and perspective can give a quite different
visual impression of a particular topic; especially the little township of
Clyde.
>From above, the Cairnmuir Hills don't look like anything particularly much.
>From the valley bottom, they look quite imposing. The view from most of the
way up their side shows how Clyde is a little oasis in the midst of a vast
infertile steeply inclined wasteland plain.
The view across Seaton Square (thanks for correcting my spelling Chris B -
I had never seen it written) shows the Ponderosa pines with a lean down-
wind. Check their verticality against those of the power poles which have not
similarly been tilted by the north-west gales.
At the top, ripe apricots on the very old trees of a friend, and a repeat; a
shot
of a rose we planted last winter and which has rewarded us with quite lovely
flowers. The name of the rose is "Truly Amazing" and so it is.,
Brian Swale.
