Thanks, Chuck. I'll practice that. When I was working, we let the young kids
do/fix all the computer stuff.....big mistake!

Subject: [OM] Copy and Paste, was:] 1st photo post
First, highlight the link text that you want to copy. Press the "home"
or "end" key to position the cursor at the beginning or end of the link
if neither end is visible. (assuming Windows) Position the mouse
pointer at the cursor position, press the left mouse button down and
hold it down while you slide the mouse across the link text until you
get to the opposite end. Then release the mouse button. The full link
text should be highlighted.
Then either
1) Press "CTRL-Insert" or
2) Click the browser's Edit menu and select "Copy"
Either action will copy the text onto the clipboard storage area
Next move the mouse pointer to where you want to copy the text and
1) Press "CTRL-Insert" or
2) Click the browser's Edit menu and select "Paste"
I generally use the browser's edit menu options for copy and paste but
the keyboard shortcuts are good to know. Sometimes an application may
not provide edit menu options for copy and insert but the keyboard
shortcuts generally work in any situation.
As I was typing this (in pieces) I accidentally inserted the paragraph
above between the copy and paste instructions above it. That's where
the "Cut" option comes in. I highlighted the entire paragraph and then
used "Cut" instead of "Copy". That copies the text onto the clipboard
but also deletes it from where it was. Then you can paste it back into
the document where it belongs.
Practice these instructions a few times and your "muscle memory" will
take over in the future.
