Can't speak for the 50-250 (and few can, methinks) but that behaviour is not
limited to the 50-250. The ZD7-14, for example, has the same characteristic
at 7mm, and I have a feeling the OM 135/4.5 does too.

Subject: [OM] Advice from Zuiko f5/50-250 zoom owners
Dear all,
I need the advice of the Zuiko F5/50-250 zoom owners:
Since I am new to this lens, I noticed that when attaching it to the camera
body in the 50 mm focal length position it visually stops down the aperture
slightly.
Is this a problem of my particular lens or do you observe this feature on
yours as well ?
With best wishes
The second Iwert on the list
