I don't know which program or what operator to blame, but that completely
black, sharp, scallop edged hole where the
blossoms on the lower right were is much worse looking than leaving them in.
Stands out like a sore thumb.

(Sound of teeth gnashing.) Resize and sharpen first, then convert to JPEG, JPEG
conversion should always be the last step.
