On G-X and others CHDK allows for RGB histo on half press PLUS RGB
zebra mode so one knows not only if there is clipping
but where and how extensive. Thresholds are user defined as well. If
use 3 channel Zebra to have the clipped channel(s) show, one loses the
underexpose zebra until reset.
AFAIK, no histo ot LV or otherwise use the Raw data. Some developers
were working on that--so there is likely some head room even if
"clipped."
The DSLR is significantly under utilizing exposure data that could be
provided in a useful fashion, IMO.
