But I know just what you mean - it was, I think, the combination of the low
sun on the vegetation and the first, thin snow of the winter on a heavily
textured rock (I have never seen so much visible texture on those
mountains). Oh and the tail end of a couple of days of vicious winds
contributed to an 'interesting' sky.
