I did not see this mentioned in the various posts but I may have missed it.
Panasonic announced at the end of October that they projected a US$ 5.5 BILLION
loss for this fiscal year! There losses are apparently mainly in their
television business, but still, that's a rather huge loss. Some of the
related stories include ones where they have postponed a consolidation of TV
manufacturing plants because they cannot afford to merge the plants' operations.
That does not sound very good either. I have not seen any specific
information on whether or not their camera operations are making money or not.
