I found that WAMP didn't work as well as they claimed it would.
Due to pressure of other things I've temporarily given up on it, but I couldn't
get it to work.
Incidentally, I had a somewhat edgy correspondence with Janet Valade who
wrote the book "Php & MySql for dummies". She claimed to have written it
for total beginners; I've been with computers for more than 20 years and
couldn't get her instructions to work ..... She assumed a LOT of prior
knowledge, especially of Unix language.
A well-integrated program to set up a Php & MySql & Apache system would
be fantastic. My impression so far is that what's available is disjointed /
incoherent, and the experts do not have a concise & precise way of fixing it.
