So we move. Unfortunately, the city we moved to has no direct coverage by
the top national carriers. So, my choices are US Cellular or some one-lung
provider that gives me the heebie-jeebies. Being on the inside of this
industry gives me a perspective that most consumers don't have. To say that
I'm dissatisfied with ANY of my choices is an understatement. Especially
considering that we really wanted iPhones.
I know when LTE will be available in this area, so I'm tempted to hold off
on changing carriers. Yet, that doesn't appear to be a good idea because the
contract just expired, our current carrier has horrible coverage and the
phones are shot. I'm getting the daily nag about this.
One scenario I'm tempted to do is to go with two separate phone plans. A
two-phone family plan for the girls (unlimited text/data/voice) and then a
two-phone voice-only plan for us adults. Then we can get tablets with 3G
service in them for the text/data. Who knows... None of these ideas really
excite me.
