Chris,
I just happen to have the spec sheet from my MF-1 adaptor here at work
and the recommended aperture for the Zuiko 28/2.8 is f5.6-8. I haven't used
it a lot with my legacy lenses but when I have I haven't noticed much
difference whatever the f-stop.
