Hi Moose,
Chris is probably referring to my sequence of events. Chuck calculated the
proper thickness for a M42 to 4/3 adapter, and mine, as well as the one that
Chris had, was too thick. I had already suffered looseness of the set
screws in the rim, and, thinking the alignment of the two halves was
correct, I joined them with Superglue. When I found that I could not
achieve infinity focus with my adapter, I ground it down from 7mm to 6.88mm
per Chuck's calculation. With a 1mm thread pitch, my lenses now engage
another quarter turn from where they should be, placing the markings on the
side. No big deal.
