Not me, Rick! Even when completely unattached, our little RV has electric
lights, hot and cold running water, thermostat
controlled heat, etc.
Gotta have propane in one tank and diesel in the other tank, and we are pretty
darn independent for at least a few days
at a time.
I've changed out the halogen bulbs in most of the lighting for LEDs, so battery
power now lasts much longer. I even
found a couple of 140 lumen, warm white ones that actually work better than
halogen in the reading lights. I was
surprised to find that even the dimmers work on the LEDs. (Yeah, recessed
lighting, dimmers, not too rough!)
I did have to rewire the circuits on a couple of the LED lights. The RV wiring
polarity gets reversed between the first
and the last two lights on one circuit. Incandescent doesn't care, but LEDs do.
Easier to switch the polarity on the LED
light module with little jumpers than to dig into the finish work on the RV.
Carol likes to car camp with tent and so forth. I don't enjoy that sort of
camping. Tents and such made sense back when
I backpacked, but not when next to the road. :-)
