I noticed here and earlier that you use a 35mm FL for these insect
photos. Myself, I use a longer FL such as 85mm or more so as to get a
greater distance from the subject and not frighten it away. The Vivitar
55-135mm f/3.5 T4 can give a decent DOF (oh, there's that subject again) at
1.5m distance.
