I've seen a fully restored Lysander out at Van Nuys Airport about 35
years ago. It's a huge aircraft with a tremendous amount of wing area.
Much more substantial than the Storch. The wheel pants are about 4-5 feet
tall, as I recall when standing next to it. I had taken a C-130E in there
to pick up some people from my NG outfit and while we were waiting we
wandered around and just happened to look inside this one hanger. I might
have a photo of it somewhere, but I'll have to go digging for it.
