Your last comment reminds me of a statement heard on CNN today: "More 
than 1/2 of the casualties attributed to a storm happen after the storm 
has passed".  Or a related comment by a physician also on CNN a couple 
of days earlier that he'll be treating lots of chain saw injuries after 
the storm passes.
