You just need to sense where to break the sentence into clauses, John:
Firstly, an OM1 on which the film advance slips - similar to the film
advance on an early Leica M3 (which needed one stroke on the lever wind to
advance the film and a second stroke to cock the shutter). The problem
appears to be under the top plate. What are your thoughts on this?
In this case being a linguist is more helpful than being an accountant!
