Did I hear correctly that there is trouble with measly light output for
fill flash? Pshaw,
How about 110,000 lumen sec or GN of about 800 ISO 160 for weddings?
Have an adapter for a PF300 waiting to be used.
Perhaps would provide adequate fill to Dr. Flash's back yard from S.
Hamilton on a clear day. The FP bulbs will sync fine at 1/400 sec.
Still need to get time to try and rewire the bracket--don't see that
for a few weeks at least (have the parts). Hope that will fix the
no-trigger issue on OM2 (OK on 2N, oddly) and radio-slaves.
High Output, Mike

Slow flash sync speed is a serious problem for a pro trying to do fill
flash in bright sun. The F280 was a nice idea but still pretty much
useless. With a full sun ambient exposure of, say, 1/400 second at f/8
(using ISO 100) the maximum range of the flash is less than 1 meter.
It
covers the macro photographer perhaps but not the wedding photographer.
Where's Mike with the flash bulbs?
Dr. Flash
