The aspect of these electric cars that really bugs me is the hypocrisy to do
with what they run on.
They run on electricity, so they save on using liquid fossil fuel, unlike most
conventional vehicles, right? Wrong!!
I don't know about the USA, but here in NZ, even though we do have a great
percentage of our electricity generated from hydro stations, at LEAST 40%
is generated from hydrocarbons of one source or another.
So the Prius cars actually derive their power from fossil fuels.
