The card I have is one of the newest Sandisk ones, this one:

Fortunately, prices are now a lot lower than they were at launch in January :-)
With this, writing speed is as fast as in any of my other cameras.
As for hood, I completely agree that it is tacky not to include it on a camera
in this price range.
