On the E-P3, the touch screen is optional and can be completely disabled. In
other words, you can use your camera without if you want to, or with if that's
what you prefer.
I think it could be practical to select the focus point. There are limits to
the way I work now (fixed to center focus and center spot metering on an E-P1).
