Thanks to all who looked, to those who made guesses, and especially to those
who liked it!
Although far off the mark, I quite enjoyed the imagination of Jez' "The
dirtiest sensor ever", Bob's "deep space
currently infected by alien algae" and John H's wine making with "particles of
yeast floating on the surface . . ."
Boris is right that the clue is in the 'Calaveras => Seen Around Camp' gallery,
and a few guesses based on that are
closer. But none of those recognizing reflections seem to have connected it
with the two images of reflections in our
RV's windows.
The mystery image is of conifer pollen (could be pine or cedar) dusting a
tinted RV window. The side lighting of
afternoon sun made the particles 'pop'. With focus on the pollen and the side
lighting accentuating the surface of the
glass, the background reflections are dim and very soft and amorphous.
Thanks for playing! Your 'reward' is two versions of another image of the same
thing. I kept this one back, as I thought
it would give the game away.

I like both that composition and this less obvious, more mysterious crop.

I've also added the mystery image to its proper gallery.
