My best friend, Lars, teaches photography at this place:

He just told me that 80% of the images created by his students during his
course are on film. It is totally up to them whether they want to work with
film or digital, and the majority choose film, often larger formats than 35mm.
Part of the reason is that they want to do "artistic" stuff rather than PJ, but
still. A few years ago digital dominated, now the young people want to try out
this large negative stuff.
