Depends. Of the 5 Seville images I have shown so far, this one:

was definitely taken without raising the camera to my eye. I had the 24mm lens
on my M8, aperture 5.6 and set at 3 metres. That is my standard setting when
walking around on the street, just to be ready quickly.
The other images are all focused on the people, except that I am not sure about
this one:

I either focused on the stairs, or one the edge of the door opening. I don't
remember exactly.
This kind of shooting is actually easier with a manual focus camera like the
Leica.
